I had never eaten Thai food until a month ago. My friends and I wanted to try a new restaurant after seeing a play that one of them was in, and we chose Le Moose Crepe Cafe because it was close for all of us. None of us had been there before, so we were all excited to try this Thai cuisine in Fremont. I looked at their menu before even getting there, because I wanted to have an idea of what kind of food would be served there. What really impressed me with their online menu is that they have pictures of some of their dishes, and they all looked amazingly delicious.
I always get an appetizer when I eat out because I consider it a time to just be spoiled with someone else doing the cooking. I looked over their impressive list of appetizers, and I knew that I was going to have a hard time deciding which one I wanted. We ended up sharing two orders of Spring Rolls, Sweet Potato Fries and their Sampler. That was a combo of more sweet potato fries and spring rolls, but it also had curry puffs, shrimp rolls, and my absolute favorite, fried calamari.
That seems like a lot of food, but it was the perfect size for seven of us. I did not have a salad because I wanted to try a cup of the Tom Yum soup, and I am so glad that I did that. This is a mix of all sorts of good things including mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, lemongrass and so much more. I still had room left over for my main entree, which was a dish called Larb. It is pretty much a chicken salad with a Thai touch on it. It is the best one I have ever eaten, and I know I will be back here on a regular basis!
